SIR: As the residents of Bolton receive their council tax bills for the forthcoming year, am I the only person who is concerned to see that Bolton has the highest rise in the Manchester area?
Is this not typical of a Labour council, which, for the past quarter of a century, has succeeded in wasting tax payers' money on the like of a £1million legal bill for the Barratt's fiasco.
We have double yellow lines on almost every street corner, at a cost of £2,500 per siting, yet hardly a public convenience in sight.
I can, however, applaud the council for their policy of removing nuisance council tenants, but why has it taken them 25 years to think of this?
I hope that in the next election the electorate will stop protesting against the Conservatives and finally get rid of this Labour Council.
