DELEGATES from all over the world will be attending a conference in Bolton next month.
Ecotextile 98 has been designed to build on the success of a smilar conference in 1995 which also attracted world attention from the global textile industry.
This year's event will be at Bolton Moat House Hotel on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 7 and 8.
Speakers from several countries will present papers on environmental issues concerned with industrial textile processing and the need for all textile production to be economically and environmentally sustainable.
The conference is being organised by the Textiles Department of Bolton Institute in association with the British Textile Technology Group.
The Government Office for the North-west is supporting the conference with a sponsorship offer to small and medium-sized firms interested in sending delegates to the conference.
The office has offered £2,000 to provide cut-price conference fees for firms in Greater Manchester, South East Lancs and North East Cheshire.
It means a reduction from £340 to £105 per delegate.
