IT comes to something when pub and club staff in Bolton need to have specialist emergency first-aid training. But, the incident earlier this year when seven people collapsed in the town centre after taking lethal designer drug GHB clearly demonstrates its necessity.
It was only thanks to the skill of paramedics on the spot that all seven survived. This latest move is a further sad indictment of the town's drugs problem, and the try-anything culture embraced today.
