RADCLIFFE BORO's Unibond Premier Division torment continued, in a 3-0 home mauling by Marine.

This was a performance lacking heart from Boro as the relegation crisis reaches breaking point. Not for the first time in recent weeks the only player to perform to his full potential was Jason Ashley but lacking the support, effort and determination of team-mates, there was little impression he could make against a side of Marine's quality.

The first half had lacked sparkle from either side, but the 0-0 scoreline had given Boro supporters hope of maybe picking up a vital league point. It wasn't to be, as the start of the second half saw Townsend put the visitors in front after only three minutes. The home side now had to chase the game and gaps started to appear at the back. Townsend capitalised by scoring the second on 70 minutes with Morgan rounding off the scoring with the third, eight minutes from time.

Boro lacked the necessary firepower up front alongside the hard working Colin McRory, and veteran midfielder Levi Edwards didn't look fully fit and at his best in the engine room of the side. The points deficit on third bottom Bamber Bridge remains at three points, as the Preston outfit went down in a 1-0 defeat at Frickley Athletic.?
