BRITISH Airways has started its summer schedule from Manchester Airport.
It involves direct flights from Manchester to Rome, replacing the current service which operates via Brussels.
Flights to Brussels have increased from 17 to 23 a week with four departures every weekday.
BA says the Manchester-Geneva route has an extra daily service and improved timings which make it possible to do a same day return trip for the first time.
The new Terminal 1 British Airways will be open at Manchester Airport from early May.
When it is fully operational it will accommodate all British Airways domestic and international services under one roof for the first time.
