THE successful restoration of Bolton's Bow Street car park has led to the formation of a new company.
Quadrega Ltd aims to breathe new life into ageing multi-storey car parks and other deteriorating concrete buildings.
The Bow Street project was carried out for car park operators APCOA and Bolton Council, the site owners, by DAG Developments Ltd and concrete repair and coatings specialists Interflow Ltd, both of Chester.
The refurbishment package for Bow Street also involved the David Griffiths Partnership, a North-west architectural and property consultancy.
Quadrega hopes to win contracts to modernise concrete structures such as car parks, hotels, airports, shopping centres and high-rise buildings.
Director Paul Fields said the company recognised the accelerating rate of concrete corrosion and provided a unique total project management package. "Many concrete buildings were built in the early 1960s and are now showing signs of terminal decay," he said.
"The project recently completed at Bolton has been widely acclaimed as being at the leading edge of technology for car parks and other concrete structures."
Quadrega has its headquarters in Chester and is represented in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
