A TEENAGER had a jacket ripped off his back after being mugged in Westhoughton.
The coat, worth £120, was stolen by a youth who stopped and threatened the 14-year-old boy with violence on Mill Street.
The boy tried to resist but the youth struggled with him and managed to grab the jacket.
The attacker is white, aged 17-21, with short black hair in an outgrown skin-head style, stocky build, unshaven with his left eye slanted and eye-lid pulled down.
He was wearing a bomber jacket with dark blue shoulders and chest and a wide two inch white stripe in the middle and a pale blue bottom. He was also wearing faded blue jeans and dirty white training shoes.
Anyone with information about the attack on Friday at 1.30pm is asked to contact Crimestoppers on the free phone number 0800 555 111.
