A LOCAL hospice has said cheers to a Lancashire brewery for helping to provide a better service for patients.
Blackburn-based Daniel Thwaites has donated two special beds for the phsyiotherapy unit at St Catherine's Hospice.
St Cath's appeals manager John Nickson said: "We can't thank Thwaites enough. These beds are specially designed for both ease of manoeuvre and treatment and are a vital part of our £1.3m expansion."
Tickets are now on sale for a day out at Granada Studio Tours, Manchester, on Monday, April 6. The full price for the coach and tour ticket is £10, available from the appeals department on (01772) 324540.
The hospice is also holding an It's A Knockout event at Camelot Theme Park, Charnock Richard, on Sunday, May 10.
Teams of eight people are invited to compete, but must raise a minimum of £200 sponsorship.
Anyone who would like to take part should call the appeals department on (01772) 324540.
