SIR: I strongly objected to the suggestion, which was later retracted, that £40 each should have been paid to councillors, to go on a trip to visit a temple in Neasden.
£40 is more than half of my pension. I don't receive any benefits and I felt this would have been a waste of my money.
If you have any money to spare, I would like a trip to Blackpool, are you paying?
