COLIN Todd is banking on Dean Holdsworth making a happy return to Wimbledon tomorrow as Wanderers look to get their survival show back on the road.
"Deano's the one player who can do us a real favour," the manager said of the striker who plays at Selhurst Park for the first time since his £3.5 million record transfer in October.
"He's going back to his old hunting ground and I'm sure he'll be aiming to put one over on them.
"I'm looking for him to be the one to spark us off...and I know he can do."
Holdsworth has scored just one goal - the matchwinner against Chelsea on October 26 - in his 17 appearances for Wanderers and, by his own admission, he needs a goal.
"Hopefully the goals will start coming soon," he said as he prepared for what he hopes will be a happy reunion with his old team mates. "I'm looking forward to going back to Wimbledon and it would be nice to think my barren spell could end there."
Todd will underline his faith in his team's ability to survive when he names an unchanged line-up.
The Wanderers boss, proud of his players' in Tuesday's night's 1-0 home defeat by title-chasing Arsenal confirmed: "I don't see any reason to change things.
"No one could deny that those players deserved a point the other night.
"In fact that squad of players deserve to succeed after the way they have performed."
Andy Todd is the only injury worry following the midweek setback but is expected to recover from a slight groin strain.
Assuming he is, Todd Snr is expected to name the same team in the same formation that started against Arsenal with young Todd restored to a three centre-back formation although winger John Salako, restricted to substitute appearances since his move from Coventry, is sure to come into the manager's thinking at some stage.
The Arsenal defeat derailed Wanderers' survival special after successive home wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester had raised hopes considerably. But the mood in the Reebok camp is one of confidence that they can still draw away from the drop zone.
Todd stressed again that a performance of the calibre that pushed Arsene Wenger's Gunners to the limit will give them the result they desperately need but he warned: "No quarter will be asked or taken."
