STAN Ternent today set out Bury's survival plan.

"We've got nine hours of football left and we need to get five points from it," he declared.

If they can beat Huddersfield at Gigg Lane tomorrow, one of their rivals in the relegation dogfight, the Shakers will go a long way to achieving First Division security

Ternent has the luxury of an injury-free squad apart from long term victims Dean West and David Pugh and his only dilemma is whether to continue with three strikers or sacrifice one of Nigel Jemson, Tony Ellis or Rob Matthews for attacking midfield man Tony Rigby.

The Bury boss can almost taste the success of surviving in the division and revealed: "I set the target of 50 points in my own mind at the start of the season and I like to achieve targets.

"Tomorrow's game is important but none of the games we have left are any more or less important than any others.

"It's important we get something from our home games but even if we win tomorrow I know that 48 point will not be enough to keep us up.

"It's a relegation battle and whoever gets the points will go a long way to securing their place in the division.

"We're in good form and I was pleased with our performance at Sunderland last week despite losing the game.

"We have lost just two of the last 12 games, winning five and drawing five which shows really good form. If we could win two, draw two and lose two of our last six games I would be happy.

"We've come a long way, I'm happy with the way the players have gone about things but we need to finish the job and they know how important it is to keep it going until we are safe."
