MANCHESTER independent corporate financiers Barrowman Associates have merged with Leigh chartered accountants Jackson Stephen & Co.
The combined practice, which will trade as Barrowman Jackson Stephen and continue to operate from the existing offices in Manchester and Leigh, will have nine partners and a professional staff of more than 50.
It will be the 10th largest firm of chartered accountants in the North-west with a combined turnover of more than £3.5 million.
A spokesman said: "The corporate finance and due diligence teams will be based at the Manchester office.
"It is the intention of the firm to quickly grow the audit and tax side of the practice from Manchester while at the same time continuing to expand our significant Leigh office."
Leigh senior partner John Jackson said the merger would provide added value services to an existing client base of about 1,800 people.
