SIR: On reading the article in Friday's BEN regarding a "mystery sprayer" apparently at large in Blackrod, I think the culprit may well be Mother Nature herself! Most of the young shoots on shrubs, trees and plants in my garden have been damaged by the late snow and frost over Easter and I must admit they appear as if sprayed by weedkiller. I live on the top side of Horwich and as Blackrod is also quite high ground this could well be the cause.
