A FUND-raising day for little Ginnia Roberts has been declared a huge success after almost £2,000 was collected.
The event was held at the Bolton Castle pub on Bank Holiday Monday and attracted hundreds of people.
The Tonge Moor pub was busier for Ginnia's fund-raising event than it was on New Year's Eve, said delighted manager Stephen Morris. Ginnia, her mum, Susan, and dad, Dave, went along for the fun.
The event was organised to help raise money to send Ginnia, who suffers from a rare disorder, on a dream holiday to Disneyland. The moving story of Ginnia was featured in Saturday's BEN. The seven-year-old of Crompton Way, Tonge Moor, has been diagnosed with Polyarteritis Nodosa, a disorder which affects the blood vessels leading to the brain.
The pub hosted a wet T-shirt competition and organised live entertainment to help raise the money, which has boosted the fund to more than £2,700.
