BOLTON women Theresa Schofield and Mary Hurst may not look like they're "dashing" now, but the two are currently preparing for a very quick trip.
They will be taking part in the Dublin Dash - an annual charity event in September.
Teams have to get to Dublin by any means of transport and assistance they can get in just 24 hours .... and with only £15 each!
The dashing duo are being sponsored for the trip, all to raise cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Last year, this event brought the charity over £60,000, and this year, Irish Ferries and North-west Trains have lent a hand with free travel.
Theresa and Mary are involved in a variety of fund-raising events beforehand to boost their contribution.
This includes a live show at the Ukranian Club in Castle Street on Monday, May 18 and a disco at St Osmund's Church hall in Breightmet on Saturday, June 20.
And they need volunteers to help them collect funds on two Saturdays, July 11 and August 22, at Morrisons' store in Blackhorse St, Bolton.
"We'd love people to give us a hand in our fund-raising," explained Theresa, "and help us to make a really good donation to Marie Curie."
Anyone who can help with cash, time or raffle prizes can contact Theresa on 01204 385116.
