SHARES in Bolton Wanderers rallied slightly following an alarming slump yesterday after the team's relegation.
Friday night's closing price of 24p per share in Burnden Leisure plc was slashed to 13p, losing investors millions of pounds in the first 90 minutes. At one point shares fell even further, trading at 12p but the position strengthened towards the end of the day, with a market price of 17p.
A Stock Exchange spokesman confirmed there had been up to 60 trades on the company's shares, although all appeared to be small transactions.
