FOOD from around the globe will be tempting Bolton taste buds on Saturday.

The World of Food Festival, featuring dishes from Asia, The Caribbean, Ireland, China and good old Lancashire, will be held at the Clarence Street Centre.

The public are being encouraged to go to the event with an open mind and "a sense of adventure". It will run from 11am to 3pm.

For just 50p, visitors will be able to tuck into some of the dishes on display.

With such delights as vegetable pilau, blue mountain curried lamb, soda bread and chocolate banana muffins on the menu, there's sure to be something to suit all tastes.

The event is being organised by Bolton's Community Education service, Community Healthcare Bolton and Bolton Junior Chamber.

Running alongside the tastings will be a creative arts and fashion show which will focus on the different cultures and crafts of all the countries featured in the festival.
