The Editor brave from the Evening News,
Called upon readers to send in their views.
He is waiting to read all letters I'm sure?
I expect they arrive as tributes galore.
Les Gent relates tales of years gone by,
Mark Rossiter Plain Talking invites us to try.
Tragedy reported, some news that is daft,
Jobs are lined up, or you could learn a craft.
Nightly my fortune is told in the stars,
Houses for sale, and some very nice cars.
Two's Company can provide me with a date,
I can 'flog it for free' if it's something I hate.
We now have the web site for those pals abroad,
A service to ex-pats, most will gladly applaud.
Then grand competitions which are ever such fun,
Fresh interest each night there for everyone.
Hatched and matched, and more sadly dispatched,
There right to the end, always our friend.
Away for the day, then I return to my flat,
Rejoicing I see it, waiting there on my mat. Mrs Joan Foster
