Adlington Rangers 40 Heysham 10 ADLINGTON Rangers played in the North Lancs Shield Final against Heysham Atoms on Sunday knocking their opponents out of their stride with some ferocious tackling.
When Rangers had possession they swung the ball about well and opened the scoring when Phil Moss dummied and shot through the gap to score. A penalty by Carl Parker then put Rangers further ahead.
More non-stop attacking brought another Rangers score when Martin Rogers dived over out wide and Rangers were well on top 10-0.
Good interpassing brought further scores from Rob Fitzpatrick and Rangers half-backs Carl Parker and Keith Mitchinson were running the show.
Rangers plugged away and got further tries from Martin Rogers, captain Carl Hough and Frank Rogers. Finally, Carl Parker scored and kicked three goals and two drops to earn the man of the match award.
