A SERIES of successful public transport surgeries were just the ticket.
Now a further programme is planned later this year when people can again air their views on local transport issues.
Lancashire County Council staged the surgeries between October last year and this March.
Fourteen were held across the county, including one in Chorley which was attended by 18 people. Burnley and Accrington had the highest number of visitors, each with 50.
They were staffed by the county council's transport co-ordinator for the area and representatives from the major bus companies with local services.
Any rail issues were noted and passed to the staff responsible.
The county council's public transport sub-committee, which meets today (Thursday), will be told in a report: "More than 300 people attended the surgeries and the matters raised covered the whole range of transport issues with the emphasis on buses.
"Many comments or requests for information were dealt with at the surgery, but anything that could not was taken back for further consideration by county council officers or by the bus companies with a view to implementing any changes that might be possible."
