A TEENAGER who fell 20 feet through a warehouse roof after a night out is recovering from his injuries.
Damien Fowler, aged 19, broke his neck when he fell on to a concrete floor at Chorley Travel Agency, Cheapside, last Wednesday night.
He also suffered head and internal injuries but is making a satisfactory recovery in Royal Preston Hospital.
Police were called to the scene at 11.30pm when Mr Fowler, of Richmond house, Pall Mall, Chorley, was spotted on the roof by the town's CCTV camera system.
Mr Fowler ignored police and fire officers who tried to talk him down and began to walk across the asbestos roof, which collapsed.
A spokesman for Chorley Police said: "He was lying down on the corrugated coach depot roof. We requested him to come down but he ignored us.
"The police helicopter came out and put a spotlight on him, but he stood up. As he walked across the roof, part of the asbestos gave way and he fell through, landing face down on the concrete floor.
"Our enquiries are continuing, although we believe he had been drinking on the night."
A spokeswoman for Royal Preston Hospital said on Tuesday: "Damien is doing well, he is in a stable condition and has been walking round the head injury unit."
