BOLTON'S Hulton Park estate has sold off part of the family silver as part of a massive antique sale.
Silver, gold snuff boxes and 200-year-old candlesticks were among estate items which fetched more than £1,500 under the hammer in Leeds.
Businessmen, private dealers and an American collector snapped up 10 lots from the 2,500-acre estate in Over Hulton, which was recently inherited by Hugh Butterfield from his aunt, the late Lady Mary Hulton.
The items were auctioned as part of a wider £200,000 sale of more than 250 lots by international auctioneers Phillips.
