A MULTI-million pound facelift for Bury Market gets underway next month.
At a special meeting on Wednesday, market traders will be shown the plans for the £5m revamp, which will include a new meat and fish hall.
work on the site should have started three months ago, but contractors were unable to do the job for the price the council wanted. Council leader Derek Boden said it was in everyone's interests that the new market succeeded and it was important that work was no longer delayed.
He declined to give details of the revamp or contractors until the traders had been informed.
