ARGENTINIAN super striker Gabriel Batistuta could be on his way to Old Trafford in an £11m deal.
Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson is understood to have opened talks with Batistuta's agent to bring the world-class goalscorer to England.
The United boss has targeted Batistuta as the man to help them recalim the Premiership title they have surrendered to Arsenal and, along with another big money new recruit, Jaap Stam, make an impact in the Champions' League.
