WINDOW cleaners in Y-fronts and women in Wonderbras are sent temperatures soaring in Bury town centre today.
Overnight a snowfall of washing lines littered with 'smalls' descended on the town, draping the main buildings, streets, parks and gardens with an array of 'interesting' garments designed to make the mayor's hair curl!
But don't worry, the sun hasn't gone to everyone's head. The brief encounter is brought by performers Cacahuete, as part of this year's successful Streets Ahead Festival.
A host of artists disguised as gardeners, window cleaners, shop fitters, hospital patients, market researchers and street cleaners plan to infiltrate the everyday shoppers and tourists - dressed solely in their underwear.
The event aims to take a witty and imaginative look at the hidden treasures of Bury's culture quarter.
