THE Bolton League has confirmed the decision of their disciplinary committee to strip Bradshaw of 10 points for ball tampering, writes Peter Mensforth.

A further 10 point penalty was suspended unless the same offence occurs again this season.

The incident arose after Bradshaw's convincing win over Farnworth two weeks ago.

The umpires confiscated the ball and passed it to the disciplinary committee, who found the case proved although no player was charged with the offence.

The committee recommended the 10 point penalty against the club with a further 10 points suspended and that was ratified by the League's full committee last night.

In a statement outlining the committee's decision it was also decided that no action has or will be taken against an individual of Bradshaw Cricket Club.

Also at last night's meeting the draw for the second round of the Hamer Cup gave holders Egerton a home tie against Heaton.

The rest of the draw is: Kearsley v Little Lever, Tonge v Bradshaw and Astley Bridge v Westhoughton.

The draw for the second teams' Birtwistle Cup is:- Little Lever v Eagley, Heaton v Farnworth Social Circle, Bradshaw v Tonge and Westhoughton v Astley Bridge.
