We sample life's pleasures of love life and happiness,

Together with the bitter taste of life's sorrows and sadness.

The love of a partner, a child or a mother,

Coupled with the strife of the loss of each other.

These things we endure throughout our life,

Be you a mother, father, a husband or wife.

From childhood to old age all these emotions you feel,

From ecstasy or the thought it's no big deal.

A thousand hearts will be broken this day,

A thousand more healed in some other way.

Laughter abundant over here, tears of plenty over there,

Someone who loves you or no one to care.

Just live your life, thank God each day,

Make sure you're happy every possible way.

Try not to be sad, worry, or cry,

And keep the thought of love and a twinkle in your eye. By Vince Palin
