A COMPUTER mad couple who met on the Internet have started married life on TV.
Viewers of BBC 2's Computers Don't Bite series watched last night as Whitefield couple Mike Cohen and Ruth Bradbury exchanged their vows, just seven months after meeting through the worldwide web.
They were due to marry later this year but telly chiefs asked if they would bring the big day forward to feature on last night's programme.
Sports and music journalist Mike said: "It's a bit of a relief to get it out of the way. Instead of six months to plan everything, we had just three weeks."
Camera crews followed the couple for 20 hours as they got ready to say "I do" at Heaton Hall in Prestwich, recreating Internet sessions between the couple when they first met.
They also filmed Ruth, a keyboard player with the Bolton rock band Noises, as she jumped on stage in her wedding dress to join the group when they played to guests at the wedding reception.
The couple, who will live in Westbourne Avenue, met last October after a month of midnight chats on the Internet.
