A BOLTON youngster who plummeted 40 feet through a warehouse roof is battling back to health in hospital.
Scott Carroll, aged 13, who lives in Tonge Old Road, Bolton, was seriously injured after plunging through a skylight at the Tonge Bridge Timber Company in Windley Street. He suffered a head injury and suspected fractures to his foot, leg and upper back and was rushed to the Royal Bolton Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
But this morning a hospital spokesman confirmed the plucky boy is fighting back from his serious injuries. He is said to be "improving".
Scott's parents have remained at their son's bedside throughout his ordeal but are too upset to talk of the accident.
Police chiefs have warned children not to play on factory roofs or yards.
