SIR: For all his lifelong fans, me included, the death of Frank Sinatra has left an unfillable gap in the entertainment business.
Ol' Blue eyes was the best. He could belt out the lyrics of any song.
He did it his way and no other so-called crooner or singer could match him!
It was the saddest day of my life when he died.
I bought his recording of Come Fly With Me in 1954. It was the first record I ever had.
In the years that have followed since then, I have had most of his recordings.
If there was one vocalist to have come next to Sinatra, then our own late Matt Monro was perhaps gifted with his style.
In Sinatra's passing let us hope he will always be remembered for what he was - one of the finest entertainers in the world of entertainment.
There is deep, deep sadness, but he's left us with some great, much loved recordings to remember him by.
