BOLTON'S Victoria Square is a pleasant place in which to sit and watch life go by. And it's unlikely that the many who enjoy it would feel that it needs a facelift costing £1 million.
But work is due to start shortly on a "major new look" for it, including repaving, new fountains, seating and tree planting.
A good scrub and a lick of paint might be better, although more seats and litter bins make sense. The proposed plans do seem to prove one thing, though - you don't get much for your million these days.
