BOLTON town centre is set for a carnival atmosphere on Sunday . . . with a festival that is "streets ahead" of the rest.
A programme of street entertainment will be performed for shoppers between noon and 4pm.
The Streets Ahead festival will feature local, national and international entertainers.
This is the second time the event has been staged in Bolton. The first was when Sunday shopping started in September.
The acts will be spread from Newport Street, through Victoria Square to Corporation Street.
There are three local acts, Activ8 Youth Theatre from the Bolton Octagon, OK Percussion - Bolton's own Latin-style percussion band - and Osagyefo, performing African drumming and dancing in colourful costumes.
