THE board of Marketing Manchester has appointed Victoria Gregory, aged 52, as the organisation's new chief executive.
She is currently chief executive of Hallogen Ltd, the company which manages and operates Manchester's international concert venue, the Bridgewater Hall.
Her new job starts on August 1.
Cllr John Battye, chairman of the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities, said: "The 10 local authorities of Greater Manchester are united in the belief that, under Victoria Gregory, Marketing Manchester has a vital role to play in taking the region into the next Millennium."
Marketing Manchester aims to position Manchester nationally and internationally as a business and leisure destination and also as the gateway to the north of Britain.
