WIGAN have been working on their kicking game as they try to get back on track against Huddersfield Giants tonight.
The Warriors are still smarting from the defeat by Leeds Rhinos and newcomers Huddersfield, still without a Super League win, could feel the backlash at Central Park.
"The kickers have had a few extra sessions," confessed coach John Monie. "The last time I was here I had Andy Gregory and Shaun Edwards at half-back, but neither Tony Smith or Henry Paul are natural kickers. They are two players in key areas and we have got to keep working with them."
Monie is adamant that there was little wrong with his side's display at Headingley and after watching the video again feels a couple of scoring chances went begging that would have made all the difference.
"We won't make the mistake of taking Huddersfield lightly even though they may be a bit desperate. They move the ball about quite well and ran London close last week."
WIGAN: Radlinski, Bell, Connolly, Moore, Robinson, Paul, Smith, Cowie, McCormack, Mestrov, Betts, Cassidy, Farrell. Subs: Gilmour, Holgate, Cardiss, Haughton.
