SIR: I recently read what Tom Jones wrote about male strippers.
Male strippers have been around for years. I saw one about 10 months ago. All it was was fun and a good night out. When I left I did not feel like I'd suffered from "A form of sexual abuse". My family values are still intact. I also didn't feel that this floor show had "created any expectations that are not in my home relationship". It's all just harmless fun.
As for Bolton becoming the Amsterdam of the North West, that is laughable, unless I've missed the cafes where soft drugs can be bought and smoked without threat of going to prison. And where are the notorious streets where the all but naked women sit in the brightly lit windows plying their trade?
Anyway Mr Jones, you seem to have just jumped on this particular band-wagon. And is it only male strippers you are against? Oh, and gay people of course, you definitely made that clear.
As I said male strippers have been around for many years and are just good clean fun. Where was Mr Jones some years ago when one pub had a group of people on who performed a very explicit lesbian/bondage show. There were many people against that but it happened. I did not go to see it as that is something that would offend me so I kept away. That is called freedom of choice, or, using one's brain. If you don't agree with it, and don't want to see it DON'T GO!
