CARERS' Week comes to Bury next month with a wide variety of events planned to mark the occasion.
A full programme for the week, beginning on 8 June, has been organised with the highlight to be an open day at the Seedfield Resource Centre, a base for Bury carers' activities.
Other events include a Carers' Exhibition, alternative therapy talks and workshops and a Carers Partnership AGM with guest speaker Bury South MP Ivan Lewis.
Bury Council's Services spokesman Cllr John Costello said: "There will be a great deal going on at various venues and they will, hopefully, attract plenty of attention.
"Carers Week is about throwing the spotlight on the tremendous job that carers do, the problems they have and the difficulties that need to be addressed."
