LOCAL solicitors Russell & Russell have been awarded a franchise by the Legal Aid Board.
It means the Wood Street practice, founded in 1887, can now work in partnership with the Legal Aid Board in providing quality assured Legal Aid services to clients in the categories of criminal and matrimonial and family law. The firm says marks attained during the audit placed it in the top 10 per cent of franchised firms in the country.
Alan Walsh, joint Senior Partner, said it formally established them as one of the leading Legal Aid practices in Bolton.
Nick Ross, who was in charge of the project as Franchising Partner, said the award was a credit to the hard work and commitment of all the solicitors and staff.
The firm has offices in Bolton, Atherton, Bury, Farnworth, Horwich, Middleton and an associated office in Chester.
