The lads have had yet another taste of the top,
But once again they've suffered the dreaded drop.
Too many draws and not enough wins,
And disciplinary problems have all been our sins.
Maybe next time we'll be even better prepared,
Running for honours and not running scared.
Playing attractive football will not always guarantee
Lifelong top flight status for BWFC.
We're a yo-yo team now, so the media says,
So surely, very soon, we'll get back to the days
When we are a team that everyone fears,
And the sound of jubilation will drown all our tears.
Whether it's the Premiership, Division 1, 2 or 3,
Bolton Wanderers FC will remain the place to be.
Let us now go to Stockport and hit them for six,
Because it's about pride in our town
And not just money for kicks. By D P Crompton
