RUMOURS that Bolton TV star Paul Nicholls is dating the daughter of Coronation Street's Beverley Callard have been scotched by his agents.
A tabloid newspaper claimed at the weekend that ex-Eastenders heart throb Paul, aged 19, was more than just good friends with Rebecca Callard, his co-star in a new stage production of Billy Liar.
The newspaper alleged that Rebecca, aged 22, and Paul have been inseparable since they started rehearsals for the show, which opens tonight in London.
Paul, a former Smithills School pupil, has been seen most recently on TV in the new police drama City Central. He split with his model girlfriend, Joanna Clark, earlier this year.
And if he is dating Rebecca, family get togethers would not be much of a problem either. Paul's family still lives in Bolton and Rebecca's mum Bev, who announced at the weekend she is quitting the role of Liz McDonald, in the "Street," also lives in Bolton.
But today Paul's agents denied that there was anything more between them than a working relationship.
A spokesman said: "There is nothing going on as far as I am concerned.
"Someone is putting two and two together and making six."
