OFSTED inspectors have given a Little Hulton primary school top marks.
The inspectors concluded that Bridgewater Primary School is a good and caring school which gives value for money.
One of its strengths highlighted in their report after a visit earlier this year was the extra-curricular activities which the pupils are keen to join in at lunchtime and after lessons.
Although children enter the nursery at lower than average ability they soon make up lost ground and by the end of Key Stages 1 and 2 are achieving national targets in all subjects.
Head teacher Jennifer Ogg is credited with providing strong leadership and inspectors conclude that she has made a significant impact upon the quality of educational provision.
