A NEW American style pub opens for business in Bolton next week - creating up to 70 new jobs.
The Chicago Rock Cafe, which aims to create a "Cheers" style atmosphere in the new development on Bridge Street, flings open its doors to customers on Tuesday.
A total of 55 staff are currently undergoing training and more are being sought to fill waiter and bar staff vacancies.
Openings manager, Brett Turner told the BEN that they are aiming at a mature client who wants a "fun party atmosphere", with music played in the bar limited to the 1957 - 1986 period.
As well as serving drinks the bar staff, known as the Chicago Cats, will be dancing on a specially designed platform above the bar.
Children are not allowed in the Cafe in the evenings but during the day there is a big screen in the restaurant area for them showing cartoons, with headphones available so they don't disturb other diners.
The Cafe is the 28th Chicago Rock Cafe in the country to be opened by Luton based owners Luminar plc but it is the first in the North of England and more are planned in the near future for Wigan and St Helen's.
