A BOLTON couple will be walking up the aisle next month...25 years after they first married.
The wedding, on June 9, will be second time around for John and Lillian Taylor who intend to renew their marriage vows to commemorate their Silver Wedding anniversary.
The couple first married at St Thomas's Church, Halliwell, but their second marriage will be a thousand miles away in the sunshine of Portugal.
And to add a little extra sparkle to their anniversary celebrations, John, a distributions supervisor with JP Bananas, has even been given a car by his company for the special trip.
The couple, from Halliwell, will be remarried on the day of their anniversary in an English speaking chapel in a little Portuguese village called Boliqueme.
They will be staying in a villa with the youngest of their three children, Helen, aged nine.
Friends, including best man Brian Rushton, will also be making the journey.
John said: "We both wanted to do something special for the day.
"We will driving down and stopping off at Euro Disney, and then Barcelona for three days, before arriving in Portugal.
"We will be staying in a villa and so after the service I am sure we will enjoy some sort of pool party."
