BOLTON'S all female rally team sensation will be at full-throttle for a gruelling rally this weekend. Debbie Blackburn and co-driver Lindsey Pilkington are desperate to take first place in the Skoda Trophy Championship's Ladies Cup in which they currently lie in second place. And with four rounds left, the pair will use two days of rallying action at Ty-Croes, Anglesey, as extra practice as they aim for their Championship dream.

The driving duo will spend eight hours in their Parkside Garage sponsored Skoda Felicia on the first day, with a further five hours on the second day as they race against the clock.

Debbie, aged 25, said: "This is a most exciting time of the season as changes have been made to Parkside's Skoda Felicia to remove the rev limiter and inject more fuel into the system.

"This combined with carrying little fuel to save weight makes for good team tactics and we are looking forward to testing the car this weekend for endurance."

The four remaining rounds of the Skoda Trophy Championship include rallies on roads around the Scottish Borders, along Welsh forest tracks and a two day race in Belgium.

Debbie, of Bradford Street, Bolton, added: "We feel like the pressure is really on for us to take first place in the Ladies Cup. We need to win the remaining four rounds of the Championship. We have our work cut out but it is possible.

"We will be taking further time out of our hectic schedule to do more testing and our ambition is at an all-time high.

"The Skoda Felicia is fantastic due to its reliability and Lindsey and myself make a great team."
