A THIRD Government Minister was told today that Mrs Norma Levy, the prostitute in the Lambton affair, has named him as one of her clients. The information was given to the Minister by Mr Heath's office and the accusation was immediately and flatly denied. The Minister named has denied his involvement. The investigation is simply part of Mr Heath's determination to probe every aspect of the scandal, however unlikely it may seem.

INSTEAD of all telephone boxes being painted a glaring red in future, some may be toned down to harmonise with their surroundings. The new arrangement is that some of the call boxes may be painted a battleship grey, with only the doors and windows picked out in red. The annual report of the Lancashire branch of the Council for the Preservation of Rural England recalls that this proposed colour scheme was considered by the branch some years ago as an alternative to green. THE rabid dog which was destroyed at Heaton, referred to in Monday's issue, was shot by Mr Gidlow's coachman on the Chorley New-road, on Saturday morning last. It was a strange dog of the blue terrier breed, and was first seen at Crompton's farm, Lostock, where it attacked a yard dog, which had to be afterwards destroyed. It then ran across the fields to Pendlebury's farm, where it killed two hens and bit another dog, which had to be destroyed, and thence to Mr Gidlow's yard, where it bit the yard dog, which also had to be destroyed. It then ran up the Chorley New-road, and was followed and shot. It is supposed to have come from Bolton, now being known in the neighbourhood. The Mayor has issued a notice ordering the confinement of all dogs from the 28th May to the 1st August.
