SIR: New stadium, new players, stock market, lots of enthusiasum, the writing was on the wall about four months ago. Then there were bad selections, bad results, quality players sitting on the bench, the manager saying he has money to spend, but

spending it on the wrong players and not spending enough when needed. The manager says the players are not available but other clubs pick them up.

Bolton had it made and blew it. It is easier to stay in the Premier, not to mention the financial rewards, than it is to be promoted from the 1st Division.
