SIR: When Bolton played Leyton Orient last season, little more than 6,000 attended the game. The Reebok was half empty with no atmosphere, a bit like a reserve match.
With the recent increase in season ticket prices this is the scenario BWFC will face in numerous games next season.
How can the directors justify an increase when the opposition will be the likes of Stockport, Bury and Watford. No disrespect to those teams, but they are not Liverpool or Arsenal or Man Utd. Surely the club would be better having say 15,000 at last year's price than 8,000 or even fewer at the new price. Why has the club also insisted on early payment this season?
Next season I suspect a lot of people will pick their games. I'm lucky I can afford a season ticket, but I think I'll be spending it on something where you get value for money.
