SIR: Many of your readers will be aware that this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the NHS. To commemorate that milestone I am producing a booklet to record the experiences of staff and patients on the NHS. There is no particular theme to the publication, which will be issued free of charge on as wide a basis as possible.
I have already received a number of heartwarming, amusing, interesting and informative contributions but could do with some more. Stories from older readers, who can remember the early days of the NHS would be especially welcome.
I will acknowledge all contributions and also ensure that everyone kind enough to respond receives a copy of the brochure. Please send all letters to me at the address below.
