BOB Taylor is ready to follow his heart and join Wanderers in their quest to bounce back into the Premiership.

The West Brom striker, who revived his career with two headline-grabbing loan spells at the Reebok last season, is available on a free transfer and understood to be about to accept the offer of a permanent Bolton move.

The 31-year-old former Leeds and Bristol City favourite was out in the cold at The Hawthorns when Colin Todd snapped him up for a four-match loan spell in January. He signed off with the goal that earned Wanderers a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford then, after returning to Albion, was back again to play a role in the fight for Premiership survival.

His reward for his impressive performances, which included what could have proved crucial goals against Blackburn and Aston Villa, was the offer of a fresh deal with Albion and interest from a bevvy of other clubs, including newly-promoted Watford.

But Taylor, who was made to feel wanted and struck up a relationship with the Bolton fans, is believed to have opted for the Reebok.

"We're pretty confident Bob will accept our offer," Wanderers boss Colin Todd confirmed.

"It's possibly the last move of his career and he's taking time to consider it. But I expect him to be joining us."

Blackpool, who already have Reebok reserves Scott Taylor and Greg Strong on their wanted list, are considering an approach for Chris Fairclough who is available on a free transfer after quitting Wanderers under the Bosman ruling.
