BOLTON Wanderers will forfeit a large slice of the cash they receive when they eventually sell midfield ace Alan Thompson.
Under the terms of Thompson's transfer from Newcastle in the summer of 1993, the Magpies will be entitled to a share of the profit Wanderers make from any subsequent move.
And sources in the North-east suggest the 'sell-on' clause gives the Geordies a 25 per cent interest in the youngster they sold for a knockdown £250,000. If Wanderers receive anything more than £4.25 million that could net Kenny Dalglish a cool million!
Leeds, Everton, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Manchester United are all chasing Thompson's signature.
