A TODDLER who showed bravery when his gran had a nasty fall has been rewarded.
Little Liam Fahey, aged just two, looked on as gran Doris Andrews tumbled down escalators at Bolton's Marks & Spencer store, badly gashing her leg.
Pensioner Doris, who had brought Liam to Bolton from his home in Hindley for a day's shopping when the accident took place, had to be taken to hospital for treatment.
But staff at Marks &Spencer were so impressed with Liam's stiff upper lip that they decided to nominate him for a bravery award.
Liam returned to the store in Deansgate to pick up his certificate and an England football shirt - just in time for the World Cup.
Gran Doris, of Hindley, also received flowers from Marks & Spencer staff to boost her recovery
Sales assistant Sharon Lomax said: "We were all so impressed that Liam didn't cry that we wanted to reward him."
